Overdraft Services
(1) Regardless of account type, when items are presented for payment in excess of the balance in your account, an overdraft item fee will be assessed if the item is paid. This includes but is not limited to debit card transactions, such as ATM withdrawals, that are in excess of the balance in your account which may incur an overdraft item fee if the transaction is paid. The payment of overdraft items and transactions is at our discretion, and more than one overdraft item fee may be assessed in a single day. (2) For customers who are 55 years and better.
(3) When you do not have enough available funds in your WBank Account to cover the transaction, we will return the item whenever possible at no cost to you. While this account prevents you from overdrawing in most cases, there may still be times when your account could have a negative balance. For example, this could happen if a transaction is approved for one amount, but the actual charge is more than the amount of money in your account. This may occur when you use your debit card for a meal and then add a tip. In this situation, the full payment may go through and result in a negative balance on your account, but we will not charge you an overdraft fee.
(4) Direct deposits are monthly deposits made electronically into your account from an employer or other outside agency.
(5) The setup fee is waived. All other POS and ATM charges will still apply including surcharges that may be imposed by non-Woodforest ATM owners and operators.
(6) For the Sterling Advantage account, each account will receive one initial box of custom wallet checks at no charge. Standard fees will apply thereafter. For the Platinum Plus Checking account, one (1) box of custom wallet checks per order.
